FAQ: Dice Towers & Dice Vaults, Mythic Roll: The Return
For the most up-to-date information about the status of our project, check our project updates on Kickstarter!

Who is creating Mythic Roll?

Mythic Roll is a collaboration between two studios:

Unchained Games

Fantasy 3D Tabletop

Both studios have successfully delivered many previous STL projects, and by working together, we can reduce risks and ensure reliable delivery of top-tier quality files.

How do I get the Dice Keeper for free?

All backers who pledge at the Dice Master tier or higher on Day One will receive the Dice Keeper add-on for free.

You don’t need to do anything special to claim it. If your pledge qualifies, the Dice Keeper will automatically be added to your pledge manager after the campaign ends.

As long as you back on the first day and choose Dice Master or a higher tier, you will receive the Dice Keeper at no additional cost.

What 3D printers are these models designed for?

All models in Mythic Roll are primarily designed for FDM 3D printers, which are the most common printers used by the community.

They have been tested on popular machines such as:

Bambu Lab printers

Creality Ender series

Prusa printers

Any similar FDM printer with a comparable build volume

To make sure the files work for as many backers as possible, we will also run a community survey during the campaign to gather information about:

The printer models our backers are using

The print bed sizes they have available

Their preferences for model splitting

In previous projects, we provided multiple versions of the files, including:

More split parts for smaller printers

Fewer larger parts for bigger printers

We plan to follow the same approach for Mythic Roll, ensuring the models are accessible for a wide range of FDM printers.

Are the models support-free?

Most models in Mythic Roll are designed to be support-free for FDM printing whenever possible.

However, some models — especially the dragon designs — include intentional overhangs that will require supports in certain areas if you print the standard version.

To give backers flexibility, we provide two variants of these models:

1️⃣ Standard Version

Mostly support-free

The obvious overhang areas will require supports

2️⃣ FDM Optimized Version

Includes an optional built-in support structure integrated into the model

Allows the piece to be printed without adding slicer supports

The structure prints as part of the model and is easy to remove once the print is finished

This is the same FDM-friendly approach we used in our previous Fantasy Coins campaign, where many backers preferred the integrated support structures for easier printing.

This way, you can choose the version that best fits your interests.

When will the STL files be delivered?

All models are currently finished and in the testing phase.

After the campaign ends, the pledge manager will go live within 96 hours.

Once you complete your pledge in the pledge manager, you will receive access to the first batch of STL files within 24 hours.

Not all files will be delivered immediately. Some models are still going through the final testing and preparation phase, so they will be delivered in separate batches.

For the full delivery timeline, please check the Delivery section on the project page.

Will these models be available later?

Some models may become available later in our store, but usually at a higher price than during the Kickstarter campaign.

Kickstarter backers always receive the best value and earliest access.

What does the Merchant Tier allow me to do?

The Merchant Tier includes a lifetime commercial license that allows you to:

Sell physical 3D prints of the models

Sell them in your local shop, conventions, or online stores

Platforms such as Etsy, Amazon, eBay, or your own webshop

You are not allowed to sell or redistribute the STL files themselves.

Can I add items after the campaign?

Yes.

After the campaign ends, you will receive access to the pledge manager, where you can:

Upgrade to a higher Mythic Roll tier

Add previous projects

Add extra add-ons

This allows you to expand your collection even after the campaign.

However, pledge manager purchases do not contribute to unlocking stretch goals, since stretch goals are determined only by the funding achieved during the Kickstarter campaign itself.

Do I need a multi-color 3D printer to print these models?

No.

All models in Mythic Roll print perfectly in a single color and are designed to look great even without multi-color printing.

For this campaign, we are also introducing multi-color optimized versions of the models for printers that support it.

This allows you to:

Print the models in a single color

Or take advantage of multi-color printing if your printer supports it

Even if you don’t currently own a multi-color printer, these versions can still be useful in the future as multi-color systems are becoming more affordable and widespread.

Multi-color optimized files are a new feature introduced with Mythic Roll: The Return, so previous projects and add-ons may not include these versions.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
